Been Awhile....

Well...life won't slow down long enough for me to get anything done!

Austin is now 6 months old. He is the sweetest thing I have ever seen! As a friend of mine calls him..."Perfection". I couldn't agree more!! At his 6 month check up he was I believe 28 1/4 long and weighed I think 21.4 lbs. He is such a little chunk! And a flirt, oh boy! Any girl he sees he just grins and blushes at them! He is such a mess. He has been rolling all over the place and he likes to get up on his knees now and bounce. He also has 2 new bottom teeth that he LOVES to bite people with. This past 6 months is just going way to fast! With Shelby I felt like I could enjoy the whole first year and I even remember wanting to hurry her up for her milestone...crawling, walking, talking, etc. It seems like I blink and here Austin is already trying to crawl and I can't even remember the past 6 months. As everyone tells me and I have learned "they grow way to fast"

Shelby has been busy busy busy! She is a constant ball of energy! We have started a new babysitter and she has really enjoyed her. They have a sit down lesson everyday and I can tell Shelby has really benefited from it all. She knows her counting and her colors and they are working on the ABC's and she is starting to write her name! I can't believe that!!! She is such a little mama. She wants to take care of everyone. She loves her baby brother so much and is always wanting to play with him so I hope that continues. God has really blessed my life with my kids!

Chris is doing good. He is almost done with his "MIT" (manager in training) program and once he is done he is up for grabs to get his own store. I really hope that we are able to stay within this area (Greenville to Dallas or even Terrell). And keep us in your prayers he gets a bigger store because seems like every time he gets promoted, he gets a pay cut one way or another. He took a pay cut coming to the job from his previous job in Dallas but was able to make it up working a lot of over time. Then he got his MIT promotion and took a pay cut because he went to salary and doesn't get the overtime anymore but then they were paying his mileage so that was going to help some. Well now they have decided to take away the mileage which I don't think is right since that was part of his promotion but not much we can do about it.

And as for me...not much but staying busy with the family. I'm planning a surprise party for my parents on April 7 and so that's a lot of stuff to work on. I'm back on Weight Watchers and am hoping to stick with it till I reach goal. I have so far lost about 10-12 lbs. It's harder this time because I haven't had the big jump start weight loss like I usually do. I usually lose 10lbs in 2 weeks or less and I have been at this for about 3 1/2 weeks now. It's slower to because I am still nursing and have to eat extra points to keep up my supply.

Well I guess thats the update for now. Everyone else is taking a morning nap so although I would like to tell you I'm going to go join them, I know me all too well and I will probably go and start cleaning the house. A mama's/wife's job is never done....
